Meet Katie May Vaughan @bartender_katie

Having previously worked at a bar in Worcestershire, Katie has stepped away from pub life and stepped into the world of at-home mixology. With the use of social platform Instagram, her stunning cocktails, beautifully garnished drinks, tips from the trade and helpful how-to videos have been inspiring drink lovers from all over to try her creations and enjoy alcohol from the comfort of their own homes. 

To get to know Katie a little better, we asked her a couple of questions in a Threshers-style interview and challenged her to create a  sweet summer cocktail using Ciroc Summer Citrus.

Q1 - Why opt for an online alcohol delivery service like Threshers to provide your bottles or tipple?

Katie - "I personally live in the middle of nowhere and my closest place to buy alcohol is the local shop that's filled with beer and cider! Buying alcohol online means I get such a variety to choose from. I can find what I am looking for without having to make any compromises and sometimes it's quicker than actually going shopping!"

Q2- If you could only drink one type of wine for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

Katie - "Viognier, 100%. I got into Viognier at my old workplace and now it's the only wine I seem to drink. If I had to choose a red it's got to be a Pinot Noir."

Q3 - What is the weirdest cocktail you have ever created? 

Katie - "Not so much a cocktail but I used to serve a regular who ordered sambuca and tequila in milk with ice.. I think that's more gross than weird."
