Jose Cuervo has a claim no other tequila brand can make: in 1795, the King of Spain granted José Antonio de Cuervo the very first licence to produce tequila commercially, making this the origin point for the whole category. Ten generations later, the same family still has a hand in a business that now ships more bottles worldwide than any other tequila brand.

The entry point into the range is Especial, made from blue agave and sold in both a clean Silver style and a barrel rested Gold Reposado, both built to work as hard in a Margarita as they do served over ice. For something more serious, Reserva de la Platino is a 100% agave expression from the brand's premium Reserva de la Familia tier, made using a slow, traditional cooking process the family has guarded for generations.
