Bumbu Rum Collection

Bumbu is an authentic Caribbean rum brand built on a recipe that dates back four hundred years, when sailors and merchants across the West Indies blended native spices and fruits into their rum and called the result bumbu. That heritage lives on today, distilled and blended at a historic distillery on the birthplace of rum itself, Barbados, using sugarcane sourced from across the Caribbean and Latin America and aged up to fifteen years in oak barrels. The result is a rich, naturally spiced dark rum with no artificial flavourings, instantly recognisable by its tarnished 'X' medallion and oversized cork.

At Threshers, the Bumbu range spans three distinct expressions. Bumbu Original is the flagship spiced rum, smooth and warming with notes of vanilla, toffee and tropical fruit. Bumbu XO takes things further, distilled in Panama and finished in sherry casks for a fuller strength sipping rum best enjoyed neat or with a cigar. Bumbu Cream Rum Liqueur adds real dairy cream to the mix for a lower ABV, dessert style pour.
