Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor created Proper No. Twelve as a tribute to his Irish heritage and upbringing. Growing up in the Crumlin area of Dublin, McGregor wanted to pay homage to his roots by naming the whiskey after the neighbourhood where he spent his formative years, Dublin 12.
McGregor wanted to offer a premium Irish whiskey that could stand out in a crowded market, leveraging his own celebrity status to promote it. He’s launched two options, Proper No. Twelve Blended Irish Whiskey and Proper No. Twelve Blended Irish Apple Whiskey. These blended Irish whiskeys have been produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, the team created nearly 100 blends before deciding upon the one in the bottle. It tastes incredible because of this and has definitely been crafted to perfection!
Both are best enjoyed neat, over ice or in the perfect cocktail (Irish Whiskey Sour).
