Kraken Black Spiced Rum is relatively new to the market, being first introduced to the UK from the Caribbean in 2010 by Proximo Spirits. The rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavours. The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature.

The inspiration for the name and branding comes directly from an ancient Caribbean legend, La Diablesse. Said was to a seductive, beautiful temptress who had dealings with the devil. Obscuring her face behind a fan and a large, wide brimmed hat, she roamed the Caribbean by moonlight casting spells on poor unsuspecting men… luring them to their ultimate fate.
